twilight

growing up in the pnw during the twilight craze gave me a direct connection to everything in the story & community. I lived in port angeles (this is where Edward and Bella had dinner in Bella Italia, which was only 5 minutes from me) formed a connection that later helped me connect with the twilight community. I became involved in the twilight community in 2021 and it has been a whirlwind of experiences since then.

This story connects people from all around the world and I have seen that firsthand. whatever your thoughts are on the story, books, movie, or cast, it has defiantly impacted the world on a major scale. I have worked and met many people from all walks of life. the twilight renaissance saw an increase in popularity in this story the once had taken the world by storm.

There is an annual festival called Forever Twilight in Forks that celebrates and creates an authentic misty, mysterious vampire atmosphere for fans to experience. The Olympic Coven is a troupe of actors who come and make this experience more life like than anything else. I have had the opportunity to photograph and help this group in many ways. This tested my skills, but I wanted to give that unique "twilight movie blue” in a new and high quality fashion. I have had multiple photoshoots with many of the actors and I am excited for what the future of my collaboration with this group brings.

Another project emerged that I am more immersed in called “dreaming in Twilight”. The popularity of the annual festival in forks sparked a sibling event. During the halfway point we had, Equinox. The first festival to happen in spring (2023). I was part of the team that helped create this account and project. A spin on the classic story to see other sides of characters we don’t get to expense often. I wanted to bring the unsettling and scary nature more to the forefront of dreaming in twilight than what we saw in the movies or traditional fan content. I run the dreaming in twilight instagram account and help with creating all the content for this project. I look forward to the future of this new endeavor that has been manifest by the twilight renaissance.
